Zum Gedenken an den 13.02.1945 / To commemorate the 13.02.1945
Bombardierung Dresdens 1945

Bombing of Dresden 1945
Allied war crimes - Commemorating the bombing of Dresden on 13.02.1945
Towards the end of the Second World War, Allied air raids on targets in Germany became more frequent. Unlike other cities, however, Dresden had no significant military infrastructure, no war-critical production facilities like the Ruhr and no relevant troop units. The city serves as a refuge for refugees from the German eastern territories and is overcrowded with displaced women, children and old people.
Despite this, on the night of February 13-14, the Allies cover the city with a gigantic carpet of explosive and incendiary bombs. Thousands were burned alive, scattered and buried by the rubble. The memory of the horrors of that night and the nights that followed still chills the blood in our veins today.
Dresden must never be forgotten!
So let us remember the victims of those nights with dignity today!
